Built for Patient Comfort and Safety

Designed for riders who can't tolerate a standard wheelchair ride.

Standard wheelchairs weren't built for long rides. The Broda Traversa tilts up to 20° and reclines up to 90°, with a pressure-redistributing seating system that eases discomfort for riders recovering from surgery, undergoing cancer treatment, or making the long corridor run to Salem or Portland.

Reclines up to 90° Riders can lie back fully for long-distance trips instead of sitting upright the entire ride.
Elevating, padded footrest Adjustable flip-down footrests help keep riders comfortably positioned for the full trip.
Crash-tested for safety The Traversa is WC19-certified and crash-tested to the same standard used across NEMT vehicles nationwide.
Smooth, low-vibration ride Every trip is driven with rider comfort in mind: smooth acceleration, careful turns, and an unhurried pace.

Seating adjustments are for rider comfort only and are not medical recommendations. Riders must be able to safely remain seated during transport.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to feel confident booking.

What areas does AtlasCare serve?

AtlasCare provides private, non-emergency medical transportation throughout the Willamette Valley and beyond, including long-distance transportation to major regional medical centers. We also offer transportation for hospital discharges, outpatient procedures, cancer treatment, specialist appointments, and recurring medical care.

Who is AtlasCare designed for?

AtlasCare serves adults who need a safer, more comfortable transportation experience than a traditional ride service can provide. Our services are ideal for individuals using wheelchairs, recovering from surgery, receiving cancer treatment, living with mobility limitations, or anyone who wants dependable assistance getting to and from medical appointments.

What types of medical appointments do you provide transportation for?

We provide transportation for virtually any non-emergency healthcare journey, including:

  • Primary care appointments
  • Specialist visits
  • Cancer treatment and infusion appointments
  • Dialysis
  • Physical and occupational therapy
  • Imaging and laboratory appointments
  • Outpatient surgery
  • Hospital discharge transportation
  • Rehabilitation visits
  • Recurring medical appointments
Do you provide round-trip transportation?

Yes. Many clients schedule round-trip transportation so the same trusted transportation partner is available for both their outbound and return journey. For longer appointments, we also offer Wait & Return service so your vehicle remains available throughout your healthcare journey.

Can you stay with me during multiple appointments?

Yes. Our Wait & Return service is ideal for healthcare journeys involving multiple sequential appointments, such as lab work, physician visits, imaging, or infusion therapy.

Do you provide wheelchair-accessible transportation?

Yes. AtlasCare operates a wheelchair-accessible vehicle designed to safely transport individuals who remain seated in their wheelchair throughout the journey.

Can family members ride with me?

Absolutely. One family member or caregiver is welcome to accompany most clients at no additional charge, provided space is available.

What is an Appointment Companion?

For clients who would benefit from additional support, AtlasCare offers optional Appointment Companion services. An Appointment Companion can assist with navigation through healthcare facilities, accompany you between appointments, provide appointment support, and help coordinate communication with your designated family members or caregivers.

How far in advance should I schedule?

We recommend scheduling as early as possible to ensure availability, particularly for early morning appointments, hospital discharges, recurring treatments, and long-distance transportation. Whenever possible, we encourage booking 2-3 weeks in advance.

Can I schedule recurring appointments?

Yes. We make recurring transportation easy for clients receiving ongoing medical care such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy, dialysis, rehabilitation, or physical therapy.

What if my appointment runs longer than expected?

Healthcare appointments don't always run on schedule. If you've scheduled Wait & Return service, we'll adjust with your care team whenever possible so you can focus on your appointment—not your ride home.

How much does transportation cost?

Pricing depends on several factors, including travel distance, appointment duration, wait time, and any additional services requested. We provide personalized quotes before your trip so you'll know exactly what to expect.

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for AtlasCare Transportation?

In many cases, yes. Transportation to and from eligible medical appointments may qualify as an HSA or FSA expense under IRS guidelines. AtlasCare accepts HSA and FSA debit cards for eligible services and provides detailed, itemized receipts for your records. Eligibility is determined by your individual plan administrator and applicable IRS rules.

Is AtlasCare covered by insurance or Medicare?

AtlasCare is currently a private-pay transportation service. Some Medicare Advantage plans and other health plans may offer transportation benefits. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider to determine whether transportation benefits are available.

Why choose AtlasCare instead of a rideshare service?

Medical transportation requires more than simply getting from one location to another. AtlasCare specializes in healthcare transportation by providing wheelchair accessibility, personalized boarding assistance, dependable scheduling, round-trip coordination, hospital discharge transportation, optional appointment support, and a transportation experience designed around comfort, safety, and reliability.

How do I request a quote?

Simply complete our online quote request form or contact AtlasCare directly. We'll review your transportation needs, answer your questions, and provide a personalized quote with no obligation.
